GOP governor primary race as told through photos

As polls in are now closed, folks in Utah are waiting -- some with bated breath -- the results of the governor's race in Tuesday's Republican primary.

The four-way race is between:

  • Spencer Cox -- Current lieutenant governor of Utah under Gov. Gary Herbert's administration, former member of the Utah House of Representatives (2013), and former member of the Sanpete County Commission from District A.
  • Jon Huntsman, Jr. -- Former Utah governor (2005-09) and former ambassador to China under President Barack Obama and former ambassador to Russia under President Donald Trump.
  • Greg Hughes -- Former speaker of the Utah House of Representatives (2015-2018), former member of the Utah House of Representatives (2003-2018).
  • Thomas Wright -- Real estate executive, former chair of the Utah Republican Party (2011-2013).
