(KUTV) -- Saratoga Springs Police identified woman killed in fatal car crash Sunday as 28-year-old Jacqueline Penaloza.
Police told 2News on Tuesday that Penaloza was riding in the front passenger seat in a sedan driven by her 17-year-old sister at approximately 12:35 a.m.
The sedan also carried Penaloza's three children, ages 3, 6 and 11, who were sitting in the backseat with their grandmother.
They were traveling southbound on Redwood Road when the teen tried to turn left onto eastbound Pioneer Crossing and crashed into a SUV with three occupants.
According to witnesses, the sedan was turning left on a green arrow. Police are trying to verify those witness accounts.
The grandmother sustained a broke rib in the accident and remains hospitalized. The 3-year-old also remains hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
Penaloza died at the scene. It was not disclosed if her two older children sustained injuries and were hospitalized. The SUV occupants received minor injuries.
