The American Red Cross is offering blood donors a chance to win tickets to the Super Bowl in 2022.

As COVID-19 cases have risen across the U.S., so has the need for convalescent plasma – leading to a shortage of this potentially lifesaving blood product, according to the Red Cross.

To help address the shortage, the American Red Cross teamed up with the NFL to urge people, especially those who have recovered from COVID-19, to donate blood.

Anyone who donates blood in January will be automatically entered to win a getaway to next year's Super Bowl LVI game in Los Angeles, California.

They will also be entered to win a Big Game at Home package, which includes a 65-inch television and a $500 gift card, according to a news release.
