(KUTV) -- A winter storm that hit Utah on Sunday night is creating potentially hazardous road conditions for drivers on Monday morning.

2News Reporter Morgan Saxton says the sides of the roads are snow, but the center lanes are a little clearer on Interstate 15.

Ice and snow are creating slick road conditions across the state.

Drivers are advised to be careful and slow down while traveling.

Give yourself extra time to clean off your car and to get to your destination.

Lake effect snow is expected to let up around 7 a.m. in Davis and Salt Lake Counties, according to 2News meteorologist Chase Thomason.

The next storm, valley rain and mountain snow, is expected to hit Utah on Wednesday and stop on Saturday morning.
