Utah Jazz center and French national Rudy Gobert spoke to 2News reporters Tuesday about Monday's massive fire at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.
Gobert was raised in the northern French town Saint-Quentin, which is about a two-hour drive northeast of Paris.
When asked about his thoughts on the fire, Gobert, known as the Stifle Tower, said:
It's tough to watch, it's one of the most iconic monuments not only in France but in history, in general. It's [was] built before my grand, grand, grand, grand, grandparents were born, so it's something that has a lot of value in our hearts, it's tough to watch. It's great they were able to save some of it.
