The Salt Lake City Police Department will be coming in like a wrecking ball on "Lip Sync to the Rescue," a new CBS show based on a recent trending hashtag: #LipSyncChallenge.

The show debut is this Monday, September 9 at 7:00 p.m. Mountain Time and is hosted by Cedric the Entertainer and will feature a special surprise from country music star Luke Bryan.

Salt Lake City police got in on the lip sync trend back on August 2, 2018, with a lip sync parody of the Miley Cyrus hit "Wrecking Ball," which features an unusually large amount of donuts.

In the video, you'll even see officers raid a donut shop. It's all, obviously, a parody on the old cliché that police officers eat donuts, and it's all in good fun.

Well, the video was so good, it got the attention of CBS' new show "Lip Sync to the Rescue," which features the Salt Lake City Police Department in their top 30.

According to CBS:

Lip Sync to the Rescue is an interactive countdown special where viewers vote for their favorite video of performances featuring first responders channeling their inner pop stars and lip-syncing to hit music, a trend that began with the #LipSyncChallenge. The winner will be announced LIVE during the broadcast.

You can vote here, once the show airs on September 9 at 7:00 p.m. MST.
