(KUTV) -- A Utah Jazz player was considering three different novels for his book club to read next. After posting about it on Twitter, a former first lady was quick to cast her vote.

Over the weekend, Ekpe Udoh was considering "Malcom X," "Becoming" and "The Sun Does Shine" for Ekpe's Book Club. He received several responses on social media, most of them voting for "Becoming."

Michelle Obama, the former first lady of the United States and author of her autobiography "Becoming," retweeted Udoh asking if she could vote.

Udoh answered, "Of course, no voter suppression here."

Udoh also invited Obama to join the club's discussion, either online or in person.

The book club will read "Malcom X," then "Becoming."

During an inteview, Udoh said Obama's retweet on Twitter "was special."

Ekpes Book Club was started by Udoh. Like a regular club, the group reads books together. Once they finish, they either discusses the novels on Twitter using the hashtag #Ekpesbookclub or meet in person.

Udoh says he started reading last June and started the club shortly after.

"Reading is fundamental, you gotta do it," Udoh says in a YouTube video about his book club.
