Ogden man arrested for allegedly shooting, threatening victim over Facebook

(KUTV) -- An Ogden man was arrested in connection to an attempted murder at a hotel on July 21, according to court documents.

Randy Anderson, 31, allegedly shot the victim with a .45 calibar handgun at a Courtyard Inn. Anderson exited his vehicle and found the victim in the stairwell. That is where he shot the man.

The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries, according to court documents.

After investigating, authorities found that Anderson had been threatening the victim over Facebook.

Anderson messaged the victim repeatedly, trying to get him to meet in an area with 'no cameras.' He also said that he was going to put bullets in the victim, according to court documents.

After speaking with a witness, Anderson was identified as the suspect and arrested.
