Police identify man killed in Ogden crash, say 'medical issue' may have been cause

(KUTV) — The 76-year-old victim of a car crash in Ogden Friday night may have had a medical issue that contributed to the fatal crash.

Gene Roy Stanley died and injured two others March 17 when he crashed into a tree near 1600 Washington Blvd., according to the Ogden Police Department.

The two injured, a 43-year-old male relative and a 74-year-old female relative, remain in he hospital with serious injuries.

Police are still investigating what caused the crash. They have ruled out drugs and alcohol, but said a medical issue may have caused Stanley to drive into the tree.

Stanley and the 74-year-old female were visiting from California.
