A North Logan man was arrested for allegedly posing as a young girl on social media to lure a 13-year-old girl to his home to rape her.
Tristan Larson, 20, was booked into the Cache County Jail for raping a child, and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, court documents state.
On June 22, the 13-year-old received a message via Snapchat from someone she believed to be named Sierra, a girl she knew from school.
Sierra asked the girl if she wanted to come over to her house. The girl agreed and rode the bus from Logan to an apartment complex in North Logan.
The girl told North Park police that when she went to the apartment, Larson answered the door.
He pulled her inside and placed a red bandanna over her mouth and tied it around her head.
Court documents state Larson pushed the girl down the hallway, into a bedroom and onto a bed. He then pulled down his pants and proceeded to rape her. The girl was unable to scream because of the bandanna.
After the incident, the girl ran out of the apartment and contacted police. She identified Larson as an acquaintance of her boyfriend.
When he was questioned by police, Larson admitted to being with the victim on the day of the assault, but not in his apartment. Upon further questioning, Larson asked for attorney.
While searching his apartment, police found items that the girl described were there. They also found marijuana.
A warrant was issued to collect Larson's DNA and another for his urine. The results of the drug test came back negative, court documents state.
