Woman shot in the head in Taylorsville home; shooter still at large

(KUTV) — A 48-year-old woman is still fighting for her life after a drive-by shooting in Taylorsville. It happened Tuesday evening around 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of 1950 West and 4900 South.

The woman was inside a home there when the shooter came driving past. According to police, she was possibly struck in the head. She was immediately transported to Intermountain Medical Center and, at last check, was in critical condition.

According to police, the shooter fled in a black or dark-colored vehicle. It’s not known how many people were inside that vehicle, or whether the shooter was solo. Police are trying to find him or her and track down witnesses.
