It's a record! Concerned Utahns have collected more than $1.5 million in cash and food in the 2020 Souper Bowl of Caring. The total breaks the $1.3 million collected in 2018.

Businesses, schools and churches are still reporting the totals from their collections at tacklehunger.org or by calling 1-800-358-soup (7687).

The 43 participating groups that have reported so far are donating to 15 different charities of their choosing to fight child hunger in Utah, where about one in seven children are food insecure and don’t know where a future meal is coming from.

The charities include the Utah Food Bank, regional and local pantries and several educational foundations associated with local school districts.

The Souper Bowl of Caring started in South Carolina in 1990 and KUTV began organizing Utah’s efforts in 2014.
