(KUTV) - Utah County Sheriff Deputies arrested Richard Watson, 54, of American Fork, on two counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child after allegations from family members that he molested three girls under the age of 10.

Watson is registered on the Utah Sex Offender Registry and has been previously convicted of lewdness and failing to register as a sex offender, a press release stated.

Detectives interviewed the three girls, Jan. 7, after speaking with their parents regarding accusations that Watson sexually abused them.

The children told the investigating Utah County Sheriff Officers that between May 26 and June 1, 2017, they were sexually abused when the parents were away from home and they were under the care of a babysitter.

Watson was booked Thursday into the Utah County Jail on the two first-degree felonies without bail being set. He is currently on probation with the Utah Department of Adult Probation and Parole.

Detectives believe it is likely Watson has victimized others.

Anyone who might have been victimized by Watson, or knows anyone who has been victimized by him, should contact detectives with the Utah County Sheriff's Office at 801.851.4010.
