Everyone needs a little TLC, even dairy cows.

In today's Carolina Moment, News 13 photojournalist Ken Corn takes us down on the dairy farm to show us the specialized work of a man who's been at it for decades.

Twice a year, dairy cow hoof trimmer John Hall travels from Statesville to Small Acres Dairy Farm in Mills River, which has one of the smaller herds of Jersey dairy cows in Western North Carolina. There, he clips the Jersey cows' hooves so they can walk properly around the farm.

Over the years, Hall has seen many small, family-owned farms with herds of 100-200 cows sell out to large, corporate farms with 1,000-cow herds.
