Bill Gates remains as the world's most admired man while Michelle Obama becomes the world's most admired woman, according to a new report.

YouGov released its annual "World's Most Admired" list on Thursday, sharing the news that while the Microsoft founder retained his place as the world's most admired man in 2019, the former U.S. First Lady supplanted actress Angelina Jolie as the world's most admired woman.

The report expanded to cover the views of people in 41 countries, with more than 42,000 people interviewed to compile the list.

Jolie fell from first place last year to third this year, with talk show host Oprah Winfrey coming in second place for 2019's list. According to YouGov, Gates has been the world's most admired man every year since the public opinion and data company began conducting the report.

The top five men list hasn't changed since last year. Former President Barack Obama came in second, followed by actor Jackie Chan, Chinese president Xi Jinping and businessman Jack Ma.

When it comes to just the U.S., both Obamas were the most admired people in the country. Barack is in first place, followed by Trump, actor Clint Eastwood, Gates and actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Michelle is in first, followed by Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Melania Trump, Ellen and Queen Elizabeth.
