President Donald Trump signed a declaration Tuesday making FEMA funding available to Utah for damage during a major wind storm last year.
Entities in Davis, Morgan, Salt Lake, and Weber County that sustained significant damage during the storm will be eligible for money, the Utah Division of Emergency Management announced Wednesday.
Then-Gov. Gary Herbert issued an emergency declaration on Sept. 9, 2020.
Utah's emergency management says it will work with eligible counters to administer the FEMA money. The amount wasn't specified in its news release.
Tuesday's declaration is the third presidential disaster declaration approved for Utah in 2020. The first was for the COVID-19 pandemic in March, and the second was for the 5.7 magnitude earthquake centered in Magna.
