(KUTV) Weber State track alum, Sarah Sellers Callister finished second in in Monday's Boston Marathon.

According to Weber State athletics, that is best ever by a Utah native at the world-famous marathon. Her time of 2:44:04 was four minutes and 10 seconds behind Desiree Linden of the U.S., who won the women's race.

She said the result is like a dream and that it was like a hurricane in the weather-adverse race.

The race, run in windy and rainy conditions, was only her second marathon ever and qualified her for the U.S. Olympic trials.

The Ogden, Utah, native graduated from Ogden High School in 2009 and competed for Weber State from 2009 to 2012, winning nine Big Sky championships, winning the 5,000 meter and 10,000 meter events multiple times.

She is still coached by current Weber State track and field coach Paul Pilkington.
