(KUTV) Real Salt Lake heads to Chicago this weekend for the first road game of the year. Temperatures are expected to be in the 20s with wind chill near 0 degrees. Both clubs drew in their openers with RSL playing Toronto to scoreless draw at home while David Accam’s goal gave the Fire a 1-1 draw with the Columbus Crew. The Fire beefed up the midfield, adding Juninho and Dax McCarty, in a bid to stop some of the worst streaks in MLS. The Fire have had the worst record two years in a row, they have missed the playoffs four years in a row (tied with San Jose for the longest streak in the league) and they haven’t been to the MLS Cup Final since 2003 when they lost San Jose. The 13 year streak is the longest in the league because San Jose didn’t have a club for two years.
Will this year’s club snap some or all of those streaks? What is the impact of adding two veteran midfielders? Watch DJ and Dunny break down the match-up on this week’s edition of Talkin’ Real.
