(KUTV) Jeff Grimes replaces Ty Detmer as BYU”s new offensive coordinator. PK was the Salt Lake Tribune BYU beat writer when Jeff Grimes was the Offensive Line coach from 2004-06 and he sees Grimes as uniquely qualified to step in and turn the offense around after a terrible 4-9 season. Grimes coached in the Pac10 (ASU) before BYU and the Big12 (Colorado) after BYU. He later had stops in the ACC (Va Tech) and SEC (Auburn and LSU) bringing a wealth of knowledge to Provo.
PK also weighs in on BYU’s win over Utah, the Cougars improved defense and shot selection and the NCAA tourney hopes for both these teams.
Plus the Jazz have lost Rudy Gobert to injury, again. But the Jazz depth and ability to win without Gobert, may set the team up to make a trade before the deadline or over the summer. Watch DJ&PK here and listen to them on 97.5&1280TheZone.
