(KUTV) The Jazz exceeded expectations in 2017-18 with a run to the Western Conference Semifinals and the future looks incredibly bright with the youth of Donovan Mitchell and Royce O’Neale, and the depth and experience of Joe Ingles, Ricky Rubio and Rudy Gobert. Even when things looked bleak in the first quarter of the season, Jazz players and coaches held to the script and made everything about “the team.” Individual goals were never addressed, influenced or called to attention along the way. When losing streaks happened, Jazz players would always squash rumors of inner-team turmoil or lack of chemistry. Some might even say that “chemistry” was the single ingredient to this season’s success that did the most good overall.

The Jazz held an end of the season press briefing after they lost game five in Houston. It was an opportunity to reflect as well as dream about the future. Saturday night on Talkin’ Sports Jazz players saluted each other, and the great season the entire state of Utah was treated to!
